Water Rocket Launcher — Air Pressure Propulsion Science Kit
Real rocket physics in your backyard. Newton's third law sends it 20 metres up.
A water rocket is a genuine rocket. It works by expelling mass (water) at high velocity in one direction, generating thrust in the opposite direction — Newton's third law. The performance depends on exit velocity (set by pressure), mass of water expelled, and mass ratio. These are the same equations governing actual spaceflight — Tsiolkovsky's rocket equation applies perfectly. This is not a toy version of rocketry. It is rocketry, at garden scale.
Pump to 60+ PSI, set the release angle, step back and trigger. The rocket climbs 15–25 metres, arcs over, and returns. Vary pressure, water volume, or nose cone shape and measure the difference in altitude — each launch is a controlled experiment.
Includes: Launch pad and foot pump · 2L rocket bottle · Nose cone and fin set · Safety tether and remote release cord · Experiment log with altitude estimation method
Ages 10+ with adult supervision. Use in open outdoor spaces only. Ships within 7–14 business days.
