Spiess Meshtastic Node Kit

Build your own off-grid mesh communication node with the hardware tested and recommended by Andreas Spiess (sensorsiot.org, @AndreasSpiess). In his iconic video #337, Andreas walked through the Meshtastic project — an open-source, long-range, low-power mesh networking system built on LoRa radio — and tested the boards included in this kit.

Meshtastic lets you send encrypted text messages and share GPS positions across kilometres without any phone signal, internet, or subscription fees. It runs on ESP32-based LoRa boards and communicates with your phone over Bluetooth. This kit gives you two complementary nodes: the TTGO LoRa32 as a versatile base station or portable node, and the LILYGO T-Beam Supreme for GPS-equipped mobile use. The 915 MHz fiberglass antenna dramatically extends your range over the stock antenna.
