White light is not a single thing. It is a superposition of all visible wavelengths, from 380nm (violet) to 700nm (red). Newton demonstrated this by splitting white light with a prism in 1666 — and proved it reversible with a spinning colour disc in 1704. When the sectors spin fast enough, your visual system integrates them over time, averaging the colours to produce white. This is additive colour mixing — the same principle used in every screen, TV, and monitor you've ever seen.
