The stirring rod is the simplest and most essential tool in the wet chemistry lab — it transfers heat, breaks surface tension, seeds crystallization, and mixes solutions without introducing any material or catalytic contamination.

Solid borosilicate glass is chemically inert to everything except hydrofluoric acid and concentrated strong alkalis at high temperature. The fire-polished ends eliminate the sharp edges that cause beaker scratching and microcrack formation. The set spans the full practical range from test-tube-scale to 1L beaker mixing.
