Lensatic Compass — Tritium Military-Style Sighting Compass
A fully functional lensatic compass based on the US military M1950 design. The sighting wire and magnifying lens in the cover allow precise bearing shots to distant landmarks — a technique called resection, which lets you determine your exact position on a topographic map from two or three known features. This is navigation that doesn't depend on satellites, batteries, or signal.
The dial is graduated in both degrees (0–360°) and mils (0–6400), making it compatible with military maps and artillery planning practices. The phosphorescent luminous markings and bezel are visible in low-light conditions without backlighting. The floating magnetic needle is liquid-damped for fast, stable readings — no oscillation in moving hands.
