What Is the Golden Physics Project? A Science Shop with a Deeper Mission

A Physics Shop Built on a Research Programme

Most science shops sell products. The Golden Physics Project sells products and also publishes original theoretical physics research. That combination is unusual enough to warrant an explanation.

The Golden Physics Project was founded by Daniel Toupin, a theoretical physicist based in Cardinal, Ontario, Canada. The store at shop.goldenphysics.org funds the research. The research is published openly at goldenphysics.org. The two are deliberately connected.

The Research Programme

The core of the Golden Physics Project is a unified theoretical framework — called the Shadow Framework or the OnOn framework — that attempts to derive the structure of quantum field theory, general relativity, and the Riemann Hypothesis from a single geometric principle: self-dual Haar measure on a group manifold.

In plain terms: the claim is that the mathematical structure underlying the Standard Model of particle physics, the geometry of spacetime, and the distribution of prime numbers are all consequences of one underlying symmetry. This is an ambitious programme. The research papers — currently numbering 30, available as digital downloads in the store — are the technical record of that programme.

The topics addressed include:

  • The Yang-Mills mass gap — one of the Millennium Prize Problems — derived from infrared S-matrix constraints
  • The Riemann Hypothesis — reformulated as a unitarity condition in quantum scattering theory, with three independent spectral proofs
  • The Standard Model constants — quark masses, the Cabibbo angle, and 19 other parameters derived from Kac-Moody Casimir invariants with no free variables
  • The dark energy equation of state — w₀ = −0.85, wₐ = −0.21 — derived from first principles and matching recent DESI survey results
  • The Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture — connected to Haar measure on elliptic curve L-functions

Whether these results will be validated by the broader theoretical physics community remains to be seen. They are presented openly, with full mathematical derivations, for other researchers to evaluate.

The Store

The science shop carries over 100 physics and chemistry instruments, from handheld spectroscopes and Geiger counters to laboratory glassware, telescopes, microscopes, oscilloscopes, and software-defined radio kits. Every product in the catalogue is something Daniel would use or has used in his own work — practical instruments that connect to real physics.

The store also carries the Free Will Solution — a book by Daniel Toupin presenting a formal proof that neither libertarian free will nor hard determinism is logically consistent, and deriving compatibilism as the only coherent remaining position. This sits alongside the physics research as the philosophical extension of the same rigorous approach to foundational questions.

The Complete Research Paper Bundle contains all 27 published papers as a single digital download for those who want to engage with the full theoretical programme.

The Consultation

For those who want to engage directly, Daniel offers a one-hour private video consultation. Topics include quantum gravity, the Riemann Hypothesis, the mass gap problem, the free will debate, the philosophy of physics, or anything else at the intersection of mathematics, physics, and philosophy. These sessions are for researchers, students, curious minds, and anyone who wants to think through a hard problem with a physicist.

The Mission

The Golden Physics Project's mission is straightforward: do genuine physics, make it accessible, and fund that work by equipping other scientists and students with the tools to do science themselves. Every telescope sold, every spectroscope shipped, and every research paper downloaded contributes to keeping an independent theoretical physics research programme alive and publishing.

Science does not require institutional affiliation. It requires curiosity, rigour, and the willingness to be wrong in public until you are right. That is the spirit the Golden Physics Project tries to embody.

Browse the shop, read the papers, and if something connects — reach out.
